FALL BASEBALL (Active Minors & Minors moving to Majors) – Rich R. & Paul M. reviewed
information from Clementon regarding the fall baseball program we will be participating in and is being run by Clementon which
will include 2 teams from Clementon, 2 teams from Glendora, and 4 teams from Erial. This will be a travel
team and games will be played at Whitebirch and Clementon. First tryouts for this team will be Monday August
27th. Any player moving up to the minors and not on this team will participate in the instructional
program for ponies moving up to minors. Games will start September 10th and the Minor Managers
will contact all their players to give details. A Schedule will be distributed and posted on the www.mygll.com website. A large majority of the games will
be played at the Whitebirch field (I have since been notified that any game between Erial vs. Erial will be played on their
field. ·
FALL BASEBALL (Active Minors & Ponies moving up to Minors) – Rick Boutilier will be coordinating
this program which is instructional only and will be done in house on our fields. This should tentatively
start the week of September 10th. · FALL BASEBALL (Pony Division) – Mike O’Brien
will coordinate the Pony program which will be instructional and done in house on our fields. This program
is for active pony players and T-Ball players moving up to the pony division. Tentative start date for
this is September 6th and Mike O’Brien will coordinate contacting players. ·
FALL BASEBALL ( Majors) – There is no fall baseball program this year for the Major level. ·
PITCHING CLINICS – Several members brought up the idea that we should be offering pitching clinics that the
GLL will pay for in order to better prepare our players. Rick Boutilier is looking into clinics and Vinnie
Green is looking into getting some High School players to teach the players at an in-house clinic (Frank Plefka will look
into the use of Triton’s Gym for the clinics). · MID SEASON TOURNAMENT
– Tim Gallagher brought up the idea of an mid-season tournament in addition to our annual tournament which it was decided
to let the new board review this idea. · BATTING CAGE – Rick reviewed the current status
of the batting cage and that we should keep it in good shape throughout the year. Rick advised that we
need rope, chains, cones, and chairs. · BEEF & BEVERAGE FUNDRAISER – Paul Merklien advised everyone that we have a set date for the Beef & Beverage fundraiser next year which
will be January 26th, 2007 at the Glendora Fire Hall. We are shooting for ticket sales close
to 200 – more information to follow. · FUNDRAISER – Vinnie Green brought up the idea
of a Wiffle Ball tournament to raise money sometime next year. This would be a fun and easy way to raise
money. ·
BYLAWS – There are still some additional changes that
need to be discussed and reviewed regarding the bylaws – it was decided to let the new board pursue this. (13.

Article V Section 6, 7, & 8 of Bylaws Election of Officers will be held on the second meeting in September. To be elected a member
must be present, have submitted a letter indicating their willingness to be elected, or verbally advised a board member indicating
their willingness. Officers will be elected by a majority vote of active members present. Voting
for Officers shall be by secret ballot except in case of no opposition in which the Secretary will cast the official ballot.
The Secretary will count votes and the count will be witnessed or verified by another Executive Board member.
Immediately after elections votes are available for disclosure. |
