When thinking about a cookie jar house, typically we think of small porcelain or glass houses used to store cookies. Glendora is home to a unique house that is in the style of a circular shaped cookie jar, complete with a widow's walk "lid." The outside is made of brick, and the inside of the "jar" has a spiral staircase; three stories are connected by this staircase. It was to be the first of several cookie jar houses but the others were never built. The circular building originally had a flat roof and stucco exterior (the bricks were added later).
